Christine Marlow

I am a visual artist working primarily in oils. I love to create the illusion of a reality that touches me, without trying to reproduce everything the eye can see. I don’t want to compete with the camera in the pursuit of realism, but rather create the illusion of the presence of nature. I am always attracted to the intricate details created by nature, the beautiful disorganized patterns.

I have acquired a large spectrum of experience in different mediums such as Encaustic, Oils, Egg tempera, Frescoes, life drawing, Mixed media, Acrylics and Watercolours. I have always come back to oils, I love the buttery consistency and the brilliant finishes.

I represent myself at the moment however I have been represented in Montreal by galleries: Le Royer , Galerie Blanche, The Barn in Mont Tremblant and Rendez-vous art in Vancouver.
